Synopsis
Having recently moved to Quebec, Sofia, a 10 year old Romanian girl, lives with her mother in a small apartment in Montreal. In a world where technology imposes social isolation, Sofia is trying to find her place.

In her home country, Romania, Luiza worked as an acclaimed actress for both theatre and television, and starred in short films of the Romanian New Wave, gaining critical praise and numerous awards. Once she immigrated to Quebec, Luiza’s attention turned to filmmaking, inspiring her to get a BA degree in film production at Concordia University, in Montreal. She has since cofounded the theatre company «Intentional Dreams Productions« and has been continuing her career as an actress and stage director. Remaining Lives is Luiza's first short film as a director and screenwriter. Luiza is presently working on developing her first feature film.
