Themes
self esteem, men-women relationships, lonelyness, affective disorderBiography
Born in Québec, Jeanne did her studies at UQÀM (University of Quebec in Montreal) where she earned a Bachelor of Communication degree specializing in cinema. After university, she obtained a grant to do an artist’s residency in Madrid. During her stay in Spain, she made a short documentary film about a popular district in Madrid called Lavapies. After returning to Montréal, she decided to devote herself entirely to cinematographic exploration and creation. Chance encounters and the silent cruelty of human relationships are recurring topics in Jeanne’s work. Her short film One Night With You personifies these themes.
