Synopsis
In a wealthy Montreal suburb, Xavier and his friends are composing with pre-teen boredom. They hang out at the park, ride their bikes, mess with each other; it's yet another suburban summer afternoon. But beneath the smiles lies a growing tension, an certain violence which leads the group to a collective release of unexpected intensity; a ritualistic initiation into adolescence.

Ian Lagarde grew up on movie sets as a young actor. He quickly looks at the camera and screenwriting, and studied film production at Concordia University. Upon leaving school, he obtained funding for The American Savannah, a feature documentary about the disproportionate importance of the lawn in the American psyche. The film is presented three times at Télé-Québec, twice opens the summer season of The Nature of Things and received a special jury prize at RIDM 2008. He wrote and directed three short fiction films: Christmas Pious board the eye and Solar Wind, which won the award for best director at the 2012 edition of «Focus on the short film in Saguenay.« In parallel, he worked as director of photography on several short films and music videos, then turns Vic + Flo saw a bear (Denis Côté, 2013), which won a Silver Bear (Price Alfred-Bauer) on 63 Berlinale.
