In the last eight years he has been directing television commercials, Emanuel Hoss-Desmarais has won international acclaim. He has seen three of his spots make the prestigious CANNES ADVERTISING AWARDS shortlist. Emanuel was also honored with the Best Directing Award at the PUBLICITÉ CLUB DE MONTRÉAL and the CREA AWARDS in 2004, 2007, 2008 and nominated for the same award in 2005. After having directed three shorts, he is presently developing two feature films: Birthmarked and Whitewash, respectively produced by ITEM 7 and MICRO_SCOPE. Both projects have already received the support of Telefilm Canada and the SODEC.
