Synopsis

Somewhere in northern Quebec, a small Aboriginal community is shaken by the suspicious death of three teenagers. The police investigation, which looks delicate, is entrusted to the agent Hudon of the Sûreté du Québec, posted recently on the reserve. He quickly finds himself disoriented in the face of these inexplicable deaths, a culture with which he struggles to cope ... and a Montreal journalist looking for a scoop.

Biography

Raphaël Bélanger took film studies in Montreal and became a music videos and commercials director. He then wrote and directed various short fiction films such as : Il serait temps (1995) , L’autre (2000) , Jan Zenek disparaît (2006) , 1150 km et une metisse (2009) which, along with winning several national awards, are making their way in the international festival circuit. Au nord du monde, his fifth short fiction film, will be featured in festivals by June 2014.
