Synopsis
Richard and Clément, two cousins who grew up together in Québec’s Côte Nord region, decide to team up to raise money for their ailing grandfather. Inspired by their childhood idol Terry Fox, the cousins leave Sept-Îles to reach the place where the famous one-legged runner prematurely ended his Marathon of Hope : Thunder Bay, Ontario. In a sincere attempt to pay tribute to Terry, Richard travels on his bike without ever touching his handlebars, while Clément follows him in his beat-up pick-up truck. The road is long, and sometimes, the best way forward might be backwards.

Simon Laganière is a musician and director from Champlain, Qc. His songs and films generally tell tales inspired by actual facts. In 2006, his film Richard de Ville-Marie was named Best Film at the Festival du Documenteur de Rouyn-Noranda. The same film earned him the Jury Prize at the Court en Web contest. He went on to direct Normand from the top (2007) and Les Outils (2009), two films that were shown in numerous festivals around the world, and which earned him the Ex-Centris Prize to the Best Young Director (2007), as well as the Jury Prize at the Fantasia Film Festival (2009). Simon is also a singer-songwriter in Les Frères Goyette, a folk band currently signed to the Dare to Care record label.
